Jay’s Walk - 🌌 What Would Aliens Think of Us?! 👽
As a kid, I used to love lying on the trampoline in the backyard of our old family home and staring up at the stars in pure amazement 🌟✨. We grew up in a 120-year-old Queenslander in Australia 🇦🇺, and back then the night sky was an absolute sea of stars, sparkling and winking back down at us.
My brothers and I could lie there for hours—watching shooting stars race across the sky 🌠 and competing to see who could spot the first satellite drifting overhead 🛰️. It was magical.
Being a massive sci-fi fan 🚀, I’d imagine life on other planets looking back at us, wondering what they might be thinking. Would they be like us or totally different? Friendly visitors or invaders like in War of the Worlds? 🤖🌍
It never occurred to me back then that they might actually die of laughter at what we’re doing down here. That thought came much later 😂.
👾 A Cosmic Perspective
The Drake Equation suggests there could be millions of habitable planets with intelligent life—just in our galaxy, the Milky Way 🌌. And there are between 200 billion to 2 trillion galaxies like ours in the observable universe. Wrap your head around that for a second.
We’re incredibly tiny in the grand scheme of things—and yet, we often act like we’re the only sentient beings in existence 🙄.
We cling to money 💰, status 🏆, politics 🗳️, and ego as if they’re eternal truths. But when you zoom out to that cosmic view, the daily dramas we create seem... kind of ridiculous.
Meanwhile, countless people on this planet suffer in silence 💔—and we carry on as if their pain is separate from ours.
🌍 What Will It Take?
Maybe it will take an alien invasion 👽💥 for us to finally understand how deeply connected we are. To see that:
✨ By giving pain, you receive pain. By giving joy, you receive joy.
If you don’t believe this—test it out. Just for a day. Smile at strangers 😊. Offer a hand 🤝. Practice patience. See how you feel by sunset.
💛 Cherishing Others
I believe all suffering begins and ends with self-cherishing. And true happiness starts with cherishing others 💕. That doesn’t mean I’m perfect—I’m human too. My ego still tries to hijack the day 🙈. And sometimes, yeah... it wins.
But each time it happens, I get a little stronger 💪. That’s the muscle of awareness being trained.
Living in the present moment 🌿, with intention and kindness, feels natural. Creating drama, clinging to negativity, and fueling ego—it feels fake, forced, and disconnected.
🧘♂️ Breathe. Just Breathe.
When I’m able to quiet the noise and simply feel what it means to be alive, I find peace 😌. Maybe today you can take just 5 minutes to sit with your breath. Nothing else. No phone, no pressure, no performance. Just breath in… and out 🌬️.
🌠 Return to Wonder
I return now, in my mind, to those nights on the trampoline. Back to that childlike wonder 🌠—looking up at the stars and dreaming about distant galaxies.
That view reminds me how small most of our daily problems are—and how big the things that really matter actually are: love, connection, gratitude, and care 🌍💚.
So if aliens do arrive one day—and want to take this beautiful planet from us—we better feel like we’re fighting for something worth keeping. That starts with gratitude. That starts with right now.
Have an amazing week ✨

Mindfulness - Writing a New Story 📖✨
In today’s world, we’re no longer dodging dinosaurs 🦖 or living without access to life-saving medicine 💊. Yet, despite all the progress, we face our own modern risks — and one of the most subtle but powerful threats is being stuck in a rut, trapped by labels we've placed on ourselves or inherited from others 🧱.
These labels might not take our physical life, but they can quietly steal our spark 🔥. Living without purpose or passion can feel like we’re only half-alive — existing, but not truly living 💔.
Sometimes, the bravest thing we can do is question the story we've been telling ourselves 📚. Maybe it’s time to rewrite that story ✍️.
"I’m just not that type of person."
"I could never do that, I’m too [insert label here]."
Sound familiar? 🗣️
More often than not, fear 😨 is the sneaky voice behind these statements — fear of failure, judgment, or even success. But here’s the truth: if your soul is calling you toward change, you can shift direction. It all starts with curiosity and compassion for yourself 💗.
Luckily, we live in an age where information is abundant 🌐. You have access to wisdom, tools, and support — all at your fingertips. The only thing that might be in your way is a belief that you can’t. But you can. And you deserve to ✨.
So, take a breath. Relax 😌. Don't stress about the change you're longing for. See it as a beautiful adventure waiting to unfold 🌄.
Take some quiet time 🧘 to tune in. Meditate. Reflect. Let the clutter in your mind settle like dust after a storm 🌬️🌫️, and then gently ask yourself:
"What do I really want?" 🌌
When your mind is still, the answer will often rise up like a whisper from your soul 🎧. You may be surprised what comes through when you finally allow yourself to listen.
Once you have that clarity, write it down 🖋️. Make a gentle plan. Even if the step feels small, know this: a tiny shift can change your entire life — and possibly the lives of others around you 💞.
You don’t have to climb Everest 🏔️ to make a meaningful change. Sometimes, moving one stone is enough to redirect the flow of your entire river 🪨🌊.
I hope you give yourself the gift of stillness and the courage to listen deeply 🎁🙏.
Feel free to share in the comments — What changes are you leaning into lately? What labels are you ready to let go of? 🧩
Wishing you peace, joy, and clarity on your path 🌈🕊️
With heart,
Jay 🤍
